💠There are two types of rejected self-traits:
Disowned traits — Unconscious impulses and traits that you and others considered to be positive. For example, you don’t think you are creative.
Denied traits — Unconscious impulses and traits that you and others considered to be negative. For example, you don’t think you are critical.
****Since these traits are unconscious to you, the way you know whether a trait has been rejected (disowned or denied) is when more than one person has reported to you AND that you have a strong emotional reaction to it

Discover rejected aspects of yourself
- STEP 1: List all the positive adjectives in the table below that describes your caretakers, partner, ex-partners, the traits you adore or admire in any opposite-sex persons, and the traits you adore or admire in any person
- STEP 2: List all the negative adjectives in the table below that describes your caretakers, partner, ex-partners, the traits you dislike or despise in any opposite-sex persons, and the traits you dislike or despise in any person
- STEP 3: Compile the final list of your character traits

- STEP 4: For both positive and negative, pick 5 traits that have the ranking closest to one and manually put them into the following categories (total of 10 traits; 5 positives and 5 negatives). These are the traits that you must own in order to become whole and make significant changes that will improve your relationship with others.
- STEP 5: Identify the potential traits and behavioural expressions for each of the positive trait
- STEP 6: Identify the potential traits and behavioural expressions for each of the negative trait
